Rajasthan CET 12th Level Exam Pattern 2026
- Total time: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes)
- Marking: all questions are multiple choice and carry equal marks — 2 marks each
- Negative marking: one-third (1/3) of the marks of the question for each wrong answer
- Extra time: 10 minutes after the scheduled time to check that one circle is darkened for every question
| Subjects | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| History of Rajasthan, Art and Culture of Rajasthan, Geography of India, Geography of Rajasthan, Indian Political System with special reference to Rajasthan, Economy of Rajasthan, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning & Mathematics, Current Affairs, Public Health, Computer Knowledge, General Hindi and English | 120 | 240 | 2:30 hours |
The board does not fix the number of questions from each subject — all 120 questions come mixed from the subjects above. Past papers show that Rajasthan GK (history, art and culture, geography, polity and economy) carries the largest share.
- Every question has five options — A, B, C, D and E. Darken only one circle with a blue ball point pen.
- If you are not attempting a question, you must darken circle E.
- If none of the five circles is darkened, one-third (1/3) of the marks of that question is deducted (for up to 10% of the questions).
- A candidate who leaves more than 10% of the questions with no circle darkened is disqualified.
Rajasthan CET 2026 Preparation Tips
- Start with the syllabus and pattern: Rajasthan GK (history, art and culture, geography, polity, economy) has always carried the largest share — give it the most time.
- Make a realistic study plan: fix a daily slot for every subject and keep one day a week for revision.
- Build the basics: Mathematics, Reasoning, Science, Hindi and English reward clear concepts more than rote learning.
- Solve previous year papers: they show the real level and the topics that repeat.
- Take full-length mock tests: practise finishing 120 questions in 150 minutes with negative marking.
- Revise current affairs daily: with special focus on Rajasthan schemes and events.
- Be accurate: with 1/3 negative marking, avoid blind guesses — darken E instead. Never leave a question with no circle darkened.
